You can't give to others what you don't have for yourself. The concept of "Credit Card Leadership" is strong in our culture and I choose it often, but it's far from ideal. It's the practice of teaching, giving, and leading in ways that we haven't embodied personally. What if we could have a 'bank account'—to commit to the challenging work necessary so that we can provide others with the same quality of life and leadership that we strive, battle, and live for in our own lives.
